French Collection

This is a collection of ink drawings created in and inspired by, the Languedoc. These images recreate the scenery – the vineyards, mountains and lakes; the food and wine – olives, oysters, foie gras; flora, objects and architecture – and are all framed in original antique French surrounds.

Some of the pictures are created on found ephemera typical of the region, for example old wine crates, tabletops and doors. Intrinsic in the pictures are an interest in typography and wording.
